BullAngus

BullAngus was from upstate NY and only recorded two albums, their self titled debut in 1971 and "Free For All" in 1972. Their music is hard rock featuring good arrangements with some complex and off-beat patterns. They lived and practiced together in an old farm house in Rhinebeck, NY surrounded by acres of Angus pasture, which may be how they got their name. They toured with Rod Stewart, Deep Purple and Fleetwood Mac and played at the Pocono Festival in Pennsylvania which had an attendence of 300,000 people.

Frank Previte went on to form Franke & the Knockouts and they recorded the hit song "Sweetheart" in 1981. In 1987 Previte co-authored "(I've Had) The Time of My Life" from the motion picture "Dirty Dancing" and it won an Academy Award for Best Original Song, a Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal and a Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song.
